Seriously, a place called "Gracemeria". This is the only fighter simulation I played since Wing Commander (I know that I'm dating myself). Using the "worst" plane on the last level was actually a lot easier for me than the "best" plane - go figure. However, this is not why I bought this game for.Tip: playing the same mission with different aircraft makes the mission feel entirely new. Simple enough at novice difficulty to play through the entire game without getting frustrated. Difficult enough at higher setting and missions to compel replaying without becoming a grinding chore.Pro: feels realistic with good learning curve.Con: storyline is a bit contrived.
The game is very good the online game playing is not that great but other than that its a great game overall
The missions themselves are much more interesting in that many of them have multiple operations going on at the same time and by accomplishing mission objectives you can call upon allies to help out in defense or attacks with you. Stategy and choosing the right plane and weapons is important for success although there is also a medal for keeping the same plane throughout the entire campaigne for which I have chosen the Raptor as my plane of choice. I have played all the Ace Combat series game and this is by far the best yet. The story line is good and I'm playing it through a second time now trying to win various medals I didn't achieve the first time through. If you love Ace Combat you won't be disappointed with Ace Combat 6. It's graphics on the XBox 360 are amazing first off and I have have the pleasure of flying on a 50" plasma which is just the best. You can save your favorite replays of missions.
But we don't play games like this for the story, we're looking for realistic action, and this game misses that target big time. The graphics are fine but the incredibly goofy missions just make this game look silly, and the sheer implausibility of the situations (a plane with a payload of 125 missiles).
The uneven degree of difficulty of opponents creates frustration because you don't know from one mission to the next whether you'll be battling nitwits or supermen. make AC6 a throwaway.
After AC4, the AC series took a serious nosedive and this entry is a perfect example of the ongoing low quality of the newer titles. that simply do not engage the player.
I would advise all but the under-eight crowd to avoid this game. The story lines have gotten oh-so-inane and the characters -- especially their dialogue -- seem like they've been created for three-year-olds.
Instead of stressing actual battle characteristics, the developers have created impossible situations (really, flying aircraft carriers).
With Ace Combat six you can't see the enemy. Online seems very one dimentional.
After a while my thumb was in pain. To me your just flying around in circles until either you or your apponent gives in.
I thought the campaine was fun although the contries involved use funny fictional names. There is a little tiny window on the upper left that shows a little plane you are trying to shoot.
Over all it's not bat but I guess it could be better. Since I'm use to playing Halo 3 I'm use to seeing the enemy right in front of you and than you shoot.
Your totally going by color alerts on the screen to to tell you where to shoot.
